Proposed groups should:
Proposed projects should:
a) Seek to establish a new, or formalise an existing, research project focusing on an interdisciplinary theme within the arts, humanities and social sciences, broadly conceived.
b) Aim to build on existing, or establish new, links between UCL and PSL academics and doctoral students.
c) Set out the project’s academic aims and initial areas of focus. Once established, project teams are encouraged to develop, expand, refine or re-direct enquiry in line with the collective interests and expertise of their members.
d) Broadly outline how funding of up to £10,000 per year would be deployed to support the project’s aims and activities.
e) Broadly outline a three year programme of activity.
f) Establish their own success measures and expected outputs after one, two and three years.
g) Consider including third-party experts from outside of academia, including from museums, cultural institutions, policymaking, public and third sector organisations.
h) Consider existing research themes either international, national, local or within their home department or home institution, including PSL’s graduate programmes and UCL’s Grand Challenges.
i) Once fully established, include the participation of at least two established academics from each institution.
j) Once fully established, include scope for participation from PhD students and/or postdoctoral researchers from each institution.
k) Include academic representation from at least two different disciplines.
