12. Transparent plastic totes and plastic bottom wire cages are the only cage types which are approved for the use of hedgehogs by Fur and Quills. The use of any other cage type shall render any warranty or health guarantee void.*
13. What is the approximate size of your cage? You may list general sizes, such as "labeled for rabbits" for wire cages, or the number of quarts the bin can hold if using a plastic tote. Fur and Quills requires your cage size to be a minimum of 30"L x 18"W, or of similar square footage. This is 105 quarts for plastic bins, or standard "rabbit size" for wire cages. We do not approve the use of bird, guinea pig, hamster cages, or anything that is not comparable in size to our approved cage types. Failure to provide adequate cage space will render any warranty or health guarantee void.*
14. I understand hedgehogs must be in a climate controlled environment with temperatures being no less than 72 degrees and that they may still attempt to hibernate at temperatures this low.What form of heat source will you be using for your hedgehog?I understand Fur and Quills does not approve of the use of general household heat, heating pads, heating rocks, heat lamps which produce any form of light, or any heating method other than the use of space heaters and/or a Ceramic Heat Emitter with a thermostat and a minimum of a 100 watt bulb. Failure to provide adequate, approved heating supplies will void any warranty or health guarantee.*
15. What type of bedding will you be using in your hedgehog's cage?*
For and Quails does not condone the use of cedar shavings, as it may cause upper respiratory conditions and other health problems. Doing so will void any and all guarantees. Also, a use of a heat source must be used, no matter what or again, all guarantees are void.
16. What brand of food do you plan to feed your hedgehog?*
I agree to provide my hedgehog with adequate nutrition, as is outlined in Fur and Quills nutrition requirements
