Responsibility of Scheduling Group
It is the responsibility of the scheduling group to be aware of all T.M. "Mort" Ewing Agricultural Center and Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center policies and guidelines and to ensure that all policies and guidelines are followed while event attendees are using the facility.
Payment
Payment of balance is due upon arrival. If payment will be made after the event but within 30 days, a 5% fee will be added to the final invoice. If payment will be made within 31-60 days after the event, a 10% fee will be added to the final invoice. A $25 service fee will be charged for returned checks. Payment should be done by cash, money order, or check payable to the Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center.
Cancellations
All cancellations must be done in writing. Cancellations made sixty (60) days or less prior to the event are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of full payment. Cancellations made more than sixty (60) days prior to the event are subject to a cancellation fee of 20% of full payment. This amount may be reduced if the Center is able to replace the reservation. All cancellations will result in a forfeiture of the deposit.
Facility Assignments
The T.M. "Mort" Ewing Agricultural Center and Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center reserve the right to make building assignments based on group size and space maximization. Unless otherwise stated, the Center does not guarantee the assignment of a particular building. If the guaranteed number for an event falls below the original expected attendance, the T.M. "Mort" Ewing Agricultural Center and Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center reserve the right to reassign the event to an appropriately sized room.
Health Safety
Group leaders and teachers are responsible for communicating this information to all campers and guests.
Wash your hands with soap and water as often as possible. Wash for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
Wash your hands after using the bathroom, after sneezing, after coughing, before & after eating, and before & after any group activities.
Keep your hands away from your nose, mouth, and eyes.
Do not share cups, utensils, water bottles, or food.
If possible, bring extra wipes, hand sanitizer, sanitizing spray, paper towels, and extra hand soap for your cabin and meeting rooms.
Disinfect critical areas such as door knobs, sinks, and toilets frequently.
Group leaders and employees are asked to report any serious illnesses to the Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center Administrative Staff.
The Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center reserves the right to contact and consult with the Heath Department or other relevant agencies regarding any suspicious illness.
Group leaders are asked to keep records of everyone who attended their event and what cabin they stayed in. This will allow for proper communication in the event of a serious illness.
If you have been sick recently, only visit the Center if:
You have been without a fever for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medications.
You have had no symptoms of diarrhea or vomiting for at least 48 hours.
If you feel sick at the Center, please report to your group leader, teacher, supervisor, and/or the camp medical staff as soon as possible.
BioSecurity
It is the responsibility of the reserving group to require the use of medical papers on all livestock before the animals leave the trailer to enter the facility. It is also the responsibility of the reserving group to immediately report any possibility of a transmissible bacterial, viral, or fungal infection to the staff of the Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center. All horses on T.M. "Mort" Ewing Newton County Agricultural Center or Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center property, must have proof of being EIA negative issued by a licensed veterinarian within the last twelve (12) months. Further, anyone with animals on the premises must abide by all Georgia Department of Agriculture rules and policies, including, but not limited to, the prevention of infectious diseases.

Trailers and Parking
Car Parking is located in the gravel lot as you come into the Agricultural Center. Trailer parking is located on the hill above the Agricultural Center. It is the responsibility of the reserving group to ensure that all roads and driveways have a clear lane for EMS and Fire personel in case of an emergency.
Liability
All rental groups accept the facility as-is. The T.M. "Mort" Ewing Agricultural Center and Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center is not liable for any bodily injury during use of the facility. Rental groups are responsible for providing qualified medical staff and medical supplies for their group. The T.M. "Mort" Ewing Agricultural Center and Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center assumes no liability for accidents or theft. The T.M. "Mort" Ewing Agricultural Center and Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center does not assume responsibility for the damage to, or loss of, any livestock, merchandise, property, or equipment left prior to, during or following an event. Liability for damage to the premises will be the responsibility of the contracting party and will be charged back to them accordingly. The T.M. "Mort" Ewing Agricultural Center and Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center reserves the right to inspect all events being held at the center. Under Georgia law, a livestock activity sponsor, livestock professional, or owner of a livestock facility is not liable for an injury to or the death of a participant in livestock activities resulting from the inherent risks of animal activities, pursuant to Chapter 12 of Title 4 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated.

Damages
There will be a charge for any and all damages to the facility, equipment and/or furnishings which occur during use. This includes tape on walls, doors and/or floor. There will also be a charge when excess cleanup is required. Please do not use confetti or glitter for decorations. Please do not use any tacks, nails or screws unless approved by one of the Center Staff members.
Use of Center Name
The organization or individual must agree that no advertisement or other public statement shall assert or imply that the T.M. "Mort" Ewing Agricultural Center or Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center supports, approves, or endorses any product, service, interest, position, or ideology of the organization or individual, without written approval by the T.M. "Mort" Ewing Agricultural Center and Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center Director in advance of publication.
Security
Groups with a projected number of more than 200 or groups with exclusive use of the facility agree to provide security for their group.
Horses
The T.M. "Mort" Ewing Agricultural Center is not liable for any injuries sustained from horses on the property. It is the responsibility of the reserving group to enforce the T.M. "Mort" Ewing Agricultural Center helmet policy listed below.
All horse riders under the age of 13 must wear a helmet while riding in any event.
No outside shavings.
Contracting Outside Services
Any catering, vendors, or rental of equipment from outside sources must be approved by the Center. (Examples: pizza, moonwalk, golf carts)
Additional Policies
- The following items are strictly prohibited on the premises: fireworks, illegal drugs,alcoholic beverages, firearms, glass containers, air horns, roller blades, skateboards, scooters, and any other items or articles which may detract from the safety and enjoyment of exhibitors and spectators as determined by Management/Director.
- Vulgar language and actions, violence, and threats of violence will not tolerated at the T.M. "Mort" Ewing Agricultural Center. Participants demostrating these behaviors may be asked to leave the property.
- Tobacco and nicotine products such as Cigarettes, Vapes, and E-Cigarettes may not be used inside any of the buildings
- All guests must be in an organized group activity after 10:00 PM.
- All refuse must be brought to the designated refuse dumping area
- Panels may only be moved with permission from the Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center Staff
- All scales, panels, bleachers, equipment, and pens will not leave the property unless for repairs or discarding. The only exceptions may come from the Director of the Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center.
- If 911 is called it is the responsibility of the reserving group to notify the Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center Staff
- Shavings brought to the facility must not contain Cedar wood
- The use of staples, screws, nails, duct tape, and other destructive materials are not permitted for use in any building.(painters tape is acceptable)
- All horse riders under the age of 13 must wear a helmet while riding in any event.
- No outside shavings.
- Handicap accessible areas may not be blocked in any way.
- Failure to abide by policies and procedures may result in additional fees.
