Proyecto Siembra Pre-Screening

We appreciate your interest in the Puerto Rican Professional Association of RI's (PRPARI) scholarship program- Proyecto Siembra. PRPARI established this one-time financial aid award to help RI's low-income Hispanic/Latinx youth cover the expenses associated with higher education.

Below are pre-screening questions to see if you qualify for our scholarship. Please answer truthfully, if you qualify we will send you an email with a link to complete the application.

The application deadline is May 15, 2020. In order to qualify, you must meet the following requirements:

Be a high school student entering an accredited US college or university
Display academic excellence with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
Be a community member with good moral standing and strong leadership skills
Be a US Citizen or US Permanent Legal Resident
Be of Hispanic/Latinx descent
Submit a completed application (below)
- In at least 300 words, please share your high school experience and future career plans.
- Include a copy of your high school transcript
- Include two (2) letters of recommendation

Awardees will be contacted in June and will have to attend PRPARI's Commemoration of the Puerto Rican Constitution & Scholarship Awards event at the RI State House on July 23, 2020, 5 pm-7 pm to receive their awards.
