Employee Friendly Workplace Certification
Program Guidelines
PURPOSE: To engage, encourage and promote the adoption of more employee friendly workplace policies and practices by Fox Cities employers in order to enhance work/life integration and successfully attract and retain the best employees in the region.
ELIGIBILITY: The Employee Friendly Workplace certification is open to all employers with operations located in the Fox Cites (Calumet, Outagamie and Northern Winnebago Counties). The comprehensive benefit criteria incorporated into the application are intended to be attainable as well as aspirational for any size organization, across all industry sectors.
DOCUMENTATION: Employee Friendly Workplace certification is renewed annually. Employers will be required to provide documentation (employee handbook or other personnel materials) to affirm that employee friendly policies and practices are core to the organization's operations.
APPLICATION FEE: $50 application fee is due upon application request, $200 upon application submission. The fee is non-refundable.
ANNUAL CERTIFICATION FEE: Certification fee is $5/employee (Fox Cities employees) or a minimum of $500; maximum certification fee $5,000.
CERTIFICATION: The review process begins once the employer submits the application and $200 is received. An Employee Friendly Workplace Engagement Specialist will ensure documentation matches application criteria. The Employee Friendly Workplace Engagement Specialist will be available for questions throughout the application process
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: It will be necessary to enter your total points for every question within the application. There will be a box available to track points. For example, when calculating "Total points Q1(a)," you would enter points earned for that specific criterion. Then category subtotals and totals should calculate automatically.
