     1)  Annual - Published in early June; submissions close May 1, 2026.

    This issue will feature:

    • 2025 PWDCA National Specialty Highlights
    • 2025 Year in Review
    • 2024 Year in Review
    • New Title Gallery (2024 & 2025 titles)

     2) Your Family PWD & *NEW* Supplemental Issue “Stud Dog / Pre-Specialty / Top Twenty” (This is a new concept for our club; both will mail together) - Published in early September (prior to the National Specialty); submissions close August 1, 2026

    Members have the option to advertise in either publication.

    1. Your Family PWD - This issue will focus on the Portuguese Water Dog as a family dog.  Health articles, grooming, rescue, and member focus in addition to general articles.                                                         
    2. Supplemental issue - This issue will be approximately 50 pages and designed to be taken with you to the National Specialty.  It will house the Stud Dog Gallery, Top Twenty dogs and a preview of the Specialty as well as a Superdog tally page. 

    NEW IN 2026: PWDCA National Specialty, AKC National Championship, and Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show judges will receive a complimentary hard copy of The Courier (in prior years judges had access via digital copy).

    NOTE:  There will not be a post-Specialty issue as in previous years.  Coverage of the 2026 PWDCA National Specialty will fall to the 2027 Annual edition.  This decision was not taken lightly.  There are many challenges with producing a Specialty issue: 1) Collecting statistics, commentary, photos, etc. is difficult and time consuming; this usually causes delays in publication.  2) If the issue is not in the mail prior to December, bulk mailing is caught up in the USPS' holiday mailing frenzy.  The many challenges garnered significant member complaints.  Thus, in reviewing how The Courier can continue to be printed in a hard copy format for our members, it was decided for cost savings reasons, in combination with production challenges, to discontinue a dedicated Specialty issue.  For now we will focus on the above publication schedule and adjust based on financial resources and member feedback.  .

    Standard (Template) Designed Display Ad: $280.00 per individual page.

    Regional Clubs Only:  See special pricing options below.  Black and White advertisements are available only to regional clubs.  Placement is in the back of the magazine.  

    We allow two (2) revisions if no error on the part of The Courier.  Revisions should be condensed into one email.  Each email received is considered a revision.  If additional revisions are requested or if requested after approval has been granted, additional design fees of $60.00 per revision will be billed separately. Your ad is considered "Approved" if we do not hear from you within 72 hours of receiving your ad proof from The Courier advertisement team.

    PHOTO ALTERATIONS OR REQUESTS TO ALTER DOG TO CHANGE CONFORMATION CAN NOT BE ACCOMMODATED.

  • Only ads reserved as "Prime Locations" are guaranteed a specific location in the magazine, all other ad placements are run of the magazine.  Prime locations are first come, first serve; advertisers will be notified if location is no longer available.

  • Advertisement Content

    Provide ad copy (wording), photo(s) and/or kennel card image for your advertisement below (photos must be high resolution (300 dpi or larger) uncompressed TIFF or JPEG files). Photo file name must include your last name and the dog's name i.e., 'Nelson Poppy.jpg'. For a kennel card image, your last name must be in the file name. All information to be included in the advertisement must be included in the Ad Copy / Instructions to Editor/Designer input field or in your Ad Copy Upload file (Examples: Owner's name(s), Breeder(s), Contact Information, Sire and Dam). Uploaded files can include Word .doc, Excel .xls, PDF .pdf, etc. When clicking the "Browse Files" button, YOUR document or photo files will be found on your computer, please select the file(s) from there. If you are submitting an ad designed by an outside design firm, or yourself, it must be included with this submission as a Completed Ad Upload below.

  • By uploading photo(s)/content, the advertiser acknowledges they have permission and consent to utilize the photo(s)/content for advertising use. Further, advertisers authorize The Courier to utilize photo(s)/content for the same purpose, noting alterations may be made to the photo(s)/content in the design of the advertisement.

  • Dog Information

    Please provide information on all dogs included in your advertisement. Place your cursor in the first box to the right of "REGISTERED NAME and TITLES:". Each time you "tab" you will be taken to the next row in the column. Once information is completed for Dog #1, "tab" and your cursor will be taken to Dog #2 Information, "REGISTERED NAME and TITLES:" Repeat the process through however many dogs you are including in your ad. The boxes for your information look small, but they hold quite a bit of content. You will have the opportunity to review all entries at the end of this form.     IMPORTANT: WE NO LONGER ACCEPT CHECKS AS PAYMENT. Payment is via PayPal or Credit Card through PayPal ONLY. Click on "Preview Prior to Submit".
