The following requirements are preferred of individuals applying to attend the 2020 Take II Shelton Challenge:

Participants need to have a 3.0-grade point average or higher
The Take II Shelton Challenge is an intense week experience for the future leaders of America. During these days, participants will expand their knowledge and skills of what it takes to be a great leader. As a graduate, the experience will expand on the five Shelton cornerstones of leadership development: Honesty, Integrity, Diversity, Compassion and Social Responsibility.
The experience will increase the level of leadership responsibility by incorporating conflict resolution, time management, decision-making and project management challenges. The course will also focus on the following elements of leadership: how to build a team effectively; strategic visioning and planning; trustworthiness; loyalty; diversity and inclusion; public speaking; and leadership roles.
The teams will be presented with a project to be completed by the end of the week experience, incorporating the leadership elements listed above.
COST TO ATTEND PROGRAM
The cost to attend the Take II Shelton Challenge six-day residential program is $750, which includes a $100 deposit. This cost includes all curriculum materials, lodging and food, transportation during the week, and night activities.
After submitting the application, please click here to pay the $100 deposit to hold space in the program. The deposit will go toward the full payment of $750.
