    • Participation in the parade is at YOUR OWN RISK. 
    • The time allowed for assembly of Units is from 8:00am to 9:30am. Participants must be in line by 10:00am.  NO EXCEPTIONS.  The parade kick-off is 11:00am.
    • Vehicles (single registered cars, car clubs, and/or motorcycles) must assemble no later than 9:00am or will not be permitted to participate. 
    • All vehicles must be in a safe and operable condition, display culturally relevant signage/decor, and are subject to approval by the parade committee.
    • Vehicles and motorcycle participants must provide updated registration information, proof of current insurance, and owner information with a photo of your vehicle for prior approval no later than July 24, 2020.
    • Participants will be provided with a placard (vehicle/motorcycles) and wristbands (walkers) which must be displayed and/or worn during parade participation.
    • Vehicles MUST face all amplification equipment to the sides (towards the sidewalk) so as to not disturb participants in front or behind them. 
    • No ATV’s or dirt bikes allowed.  
    • All entries with participants under the age of 18 are required to have at least one responsible adult supervising for every (10) children.
    • All participants must be properly identified by banner, flag or insignia that contains the name of their organization or group.
    • Items may be passed out, NOT THROWN, to ensure the safety of pedestrians and participants. 
    • Participants will not be allowed to play offensive music or display inappropriate behavior anywhere along the parade route.
    • The consumption of alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs is prohibited.
    • All presentations including music and themes shall be relevant to Latino culture.
    • Participants are encouraged to decorate a float and/or vehicles.
    • Flags must be displayed PROPERLY AND RESPECTFULLY.
    • Parade Marshalls, Committee Members, and the Cleveland Police reserve the right to remove any participants not in compliance with the rules and regulations.
    • The Puerto Rican Parade Committee has the final authority to the interpretation of these rules and regulations.
    • NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED.

    I have read and acknowledge the Rules and Regulations related to my participation in the 52nd Annual Puerto Rican Parade organized by the Hispanic Police Officers Association and its Parade Committee. With my initials below I (we) agree to assume all risks associated with my (our) participation in the Puerto Rican Parade held on Sunday, August 2, 2020.  The Hispanic Police Officers Association, its Parade Committee, sponsors, staff, volunteers, board members, or any of its agents shall not be held liable for any personal injury, damage, loss of property, accident, or any other loss of any kind including but not limited to death. 

    I hereby release and hold harmless the Hispanic Police Officers Association, its Parade Committee, sponsors, staff, volunteers, board members, or any of its agents from any and all claims of action or liabilities related to this event.

    I have read and understand the rules and regulations of the 52nd Annual Puerto Rican Parade 2020 and agree to follow them as specified and forever hold harmless and release the Hispanic Police Officers Association, the Parade Committee, its sponsors, staff, volunteers, board members, or any of its agents from any and all claims of action or liabilities related to this event.
