This free space is available to request for meetings more than 30 days in advance and for community groups to use up to 12 times per year.
The Community Room includes a standard classroom setup with these features:
Wall mounted monitor for you to connect your laptop
8' hdmi cable
12 5’ tables
Access to restroom on the parking level
The space is very flexible for your group. Classroom style for 16 people, facing the wall monitor is the standard setup. Other ways your group can arrange the room include a traditional meeting rectangle (for 6-24 people) or theatre style with no tables (for up to 30 people).
Please reserve time to restore the Community Room to the way you found the space to the standard setup. In addition, the Community Room uses a remote door lock system. Please request the time you will need access to the Community Room for both setup and tear down.
After completing the Community Room Request Form, you will receive a confirmation email of the submitted information.
You will be contacted within 4 days about your request by email.
If approved, the Fact & Fiction Department will then schedule a Community Room orientation to be completed one week before your reservation. The orientation will go over the expectations of use and available technology.
Once the orientation is completed, you will be then issued a remote access door lock code to access the Community Room for your meeting. This is an express meeting room space, we cannot offer custodial or technology support for meeting room reservations. Your future scheduling of the room is dependent upon leaving the Community Room ready for the next reservation and alerting Library staff to any issues before your meeting ends.
