The Fiber Festival of New England is celebrating its 14th year in 2025. The Festival is a much-anticipated annual event for shepherds, knitters, spinners, dyers, felters and other fiber and animal enthusiasts. Each year the Festival offers a portfolio of workshops for the fiber art community during the run of the festival.
The Festival is always the first full weekend in November. The 2025 Festival will be Saturday, November 1 and Sunday, November 2.
Our workshops will begin on Saturday, November 1 and run through Sunday, November 2. Workshops focus on fiber preparation, spinning techniques, dyeing, knitting, felting and weaving of fibers. Workshop times are suggested to run ½-day or less in length (we look specifically at workshops that run for 90 minutes or less). FFNE pays an honorarium for teaching workshops.
Class cancellations will be at the determination of Festival Management. Signups will be accepted on the day of the event. All instructors should be prepared to handle the maximum number of signups at the time of their presentation.
Factors considered when choosing workshops and teachers may include:
- Popular new or advanced techniques for fiber artists
- Representation of basic or beginner techniques
- Proposed equipment and space needs
- Teacher experience / qualifications
- Demand for specific class or teacher
Deadline for proposals is February 3rd
