Surrender to Win
"The moment of surrender is not when life is over. It's when it begins." Marianne Williamson
You will receive endless advice when it comes to recovery. People like to just spout things out like it is a simple process. One of these suggestions will likely be, "Just Surrender." Well that sounds wonderful but it's certainly not as easy as "Just Surrendering." Surrender for me means to completely let go of control and trust that everything is going to work out. Once I do this, I can resign as the CEO of the universe and get out of my own way. When I surrender, I picture myself throwing up my hands and stating, "I give up! Please guide me on my journey." Try it!
What do you believe you have control of in your life?
Think back a little on most of your plans. Did they really work out exactly the way you wanted them to?
Have you ever tried to simply let go and live life a different way? What do you really have to lose at the moment? Give it a try!
Today I will throw my hands up and let go of control completely.
