Employment Law Committee
Develops policy recommendations that support the interests of the association’s membership with regard to business fundamentals and regulatory changes relative to energy. Recommends revisions to current legislative policy that supports the interests of the association’s membership, serves as a forum to share energy-related issues, and uses the association’s relationships to effect meaningful results. Energy Committee

Environmental Policy Committee
Advances environmental stewardship along with positive economic growth in the State of Indiana. The committee covers four areas: Air, Water, Waste, and General Issues. The committee strives toward three goals: 1) identify and clearly define areas of mutual environmental concern among IMA members; 2) develop technologically and economically responsible positions on air, water, hazardous waste, solid waste and general environmental issues; 3) establish appropriate means of communication among government, industry, and the public to foster a cooperative problem-solving approach to key environmental issues. Tax Committee
Investigates all proposals for modifications of the business tax structure in Indiana, including all taxes paid by manufacturers. Develops recommendations based upon analysis of tax proposals, including IMA initiatives for changes beneficial to manufacturers. Maintains relationships with appropriate elected officials and legislators as well as employees of state regulatory commissions and offices. Meets 2 times per year. Workforce Committee
Develops policy recommendations that support the interests of the association’s membership with regard to workforce development and education policy. Recommend revisions to current legislative policy that support the interests of the association’s membership and serve as a forum to share workforce development best-practices and use the association’s relationships to improve recruitment and retention initiatives. Meets at least 2 times per year. Must be a regular (not associate) member. IMA staff contact is Sam Charron, scharron@indianamfg.com.
