    We are very careful to match our puppies with the best prospective owner/family. Each puppy has their own personality and potential; therefore, based on temperament, living conditions, family atmosphere and your goals for your dog, we try to assist you in making the perfect puppy selection. Our ultimate goal is to find loving families who will help promote the Bernese Mountain Dog within their home communities. Please complete our Puppy Application and answer each of the following questions as honestly as possible. You may then mail your completed application and required deposit to us for review.

  • Are you prepared to care for an adult size dog for 7 to 10 years?*

  • Does your HOA or Landlord allow pets?*
  • Do you have a fenced in yard?*
  • Are you willing to have your dog spayed or neutered prior to 2 years of age, and provide evidence showing your dog has been spayed or neutered?*
  • Has the primary caregiver ever trained a puppy?*
  • Will the primary caregiver train the dog themselves or seek a trained professional for assistance?*
  • Will your dog be crate trained?*
  • Will there be any day your puppy will be left alone more than 4 hours at a time?*
  • Where will your dog spend most of its time?*
  • Is this puppy being purchased as a surprise gift for anyone?*
  • Do you intend to leave your puppy outside unsupervised?*
  • Are you willing to send pictures and updates regarding the health and well-being of your new puppy to be used in our breeding, selection and promotion plans?*
  • If for any reason things should not work out with your new dog, do you agree to call us BEFORE attempting to place this dog on your own?*

  • PLEASE COMPLETE THIS FORM IN ITS ENTIRETY AND ATTACH YOUR DEPOSIT CHECK OR USPS MONEY ORDER FOR $500.00. Please make all deposit checks out to Brenda Scally and mail both form and check to: 117 Elm Street, Saco, ME 04072.

    We require a $500 deposit to reserve a puppy. This is a non-refundable deposit and helps defray some of the upfront costs associated with our breeding and selection processes. Your deposit will be applied to the overall cost of your dog purchase once approved and final purchase is made.

    Deposits must be received with the application and are accepted on a first come, first approved basis. The deposit represents your commitment to buying a puppy and is not refundable if there is a change in mind or circumstance. If there are no available puppies in the current litter, your deposit will be applied to the purchase of a puppy from our next available litter. All other deposits received will be credited to an upcoming litter and at the sole discretion of the breeder, returned without penalty, if no upcomig litter is expected within 1 year or if Seller cancels the agreement for any other reason.

    Checks returned due to insufficient funds are charged a $35 fee and may jeopardize your puppy purchase. Final payments must be made in cash.

    We reserve the right to cancel this application at anytime for any reason prior to picking up a puppy without penalty to the buyer. Refund of a deposit will be made only in the event the Seller has cancelled. Approved buyers who do not pick up their puppy by 9 weeks of age shall forfeit all rights to purchase a puppy from the current litter and any deposit for said puppy shall be forfeited. Seller will also have the right sell the puppy to someone else. Please see our Purchase Agreement for more information.

    By signing below you signify that you clearly understand and accept the above terms and conditions of this Puppy Application, and have read the sample Purchase Agreement posted online, and have truthfully completed the puppy application form. If you are submitting this application electronically, you agree that your type written name together with your personal information may be used in place of a written wet signature.
