Dr. Dan Bertoch devoted much time to advocacy for the dental profession. Members of the Florida state legislature and many in Washington D.C. knew of Dan and always welcomed him during the ADA's Washington Leadership Conference and FDA's Dentists' Day on the Hill (DDOH).
In keeping with this spirit, the Memorial Fund established in Dan's name will offer financial support for a first-time attendees to participate in DDOH in Tallahassee. This grant is designed to assist dentists who are passionate about meeting with legislators to discuss issues impacting dentistry and to advocate for the Florida Dental Association’s legislative agenda. Any first-time attendees are encouraged to apply by completing the application form. The grant may be used to cover transportation to and from Tallahassee and accommodations at the host hotel, with reimbursement provided after the event. Additionally, recipients are requested to submit an article and photos for the WCDDA newsletter that shares their experience at DDOH.
