REAP Basic Teacher Training Application- Mixed Cohort
  • 10-Day Basic Structured Literacy Training Application

    for individual public school teachers
  • Training Details:

    For specific information about the 10-Day Training program, please refer back to the REAP website

    Time Commitment:

    Training requires a commitment of 10 days. These days are spread across several months (generally 1-2x/month) during the school year and will require your school to hire a substitute to cover your classes on those days.

    If your are accepted into training your administrator be required to sign a commitment form stating you will be able to attend all 8 days of training.

    When & Where:

    Training takes place in the metro Atlanta area. Specific training dates & locations will be announced in March for the following fall training.

    *Please note that the answers on your application are reviewed and evaluated by a committee tasked with choosing the best candidates for the program. Demand for the training is high and spaces are limited.

  • The deadline for Fall—Spring training applications is February 20th each year!

  • Reading is Essential for All People (REAP) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to improving reading proficiency in public school students through teacher training and enrichment. All training opportunities are dependent on available funds. REAP depends on corporate donations, individual donations, and grants in order to continue to offer this training for free.   • Completion of the training requires regular attendance and successful completion of assignments, quizzes, and a final exam.

    Part of this requirement includes your access to online resources through the REAP Google Classroom. Some districts block school emails from outside Google Classrooms. If this is the case for your district, you may need to set up a personal Google Account to participate.
