We are committed to providing a safe environment for our clients, staff and volunteers. All staff and volunteers over 18 years must undergo a police clearance before commencing work.
EverAbility Group volunteers who cannot provide a copy of their current (within 6 months) National Police Clearance Certificate will be required to undergo a Volunteer National Police Check, with confirmed appointment dependent upon a satisfactory outcome.
Each volunteer’s National Police Check must be renewed every three years and Police check results are reviewed on a case by case basis.
In addition other checks may be required depending on the position - volunteers selected for a position involving child-related work are required to provide a Working with Children Assessment Notice, also to be renewed every three years.
For volunteers in areas that provide supports or services directly to people with a disability, then an NDIS Volunteer Screening will also be required.
If you are selected for a volunteer position with EverAbility Group, these matters will be followed up with you. We will cover all associated costs for any background checks required.
