The goal of the Family Science program is to engage children and adults in exploring science together. Each Family Science session focuses on a specific scientific concept, to be explored with hands-on experiments. To support the learning at home, each Family Science program participant receives a custom booklet with extension activities and further information.
This program is made possible thanks to generous support from Con Edison. Program participants will be invited to take an anonymous, voluntary survey upon completion of the Family Science program. Data from this survey will be used for grant report purposes and to improve program quality.

Invertebrates, mammals, and reptiles, oh my! We get up close and hands-on with a variety of living things to learn about their characteristics, adaptations, and conservation efforts. This workshop is presented in conjunction with Party Animals NY.
Sunday, February 2nd @ 11am
We get hands-on and messy as we explore the ooey gooey side of science. We explore non-Newtonian substances, polymers, and more. Participants will create a batch of fluffy slime to take home.
CRAZY COOL CHEMISTRY

We use simple ingredients to create bubbly and fizzy chemical reactions. We pour, mix, and observe what happens when two (or more) ingredients are mixed together. Get ready for fun and messy exploration!
