  • CONSIGNMENT TERMS & CONDITIONS


    BEFORE YOU SEND YOUR ITEMS
    Please read the following terms carefully before completing your Consignment Agreement.

    The Trading Rack carefully curates every wardrobe edit. We look for quality, current and timeless pieces that are in excellent, sellable condition.

    Please make sure you have reviewed our Sell With TTR page and What We Accept guidelines before sending or dropping off your items.

    All items must be:

    • Clean and freshly laundered
    • In excellent, sellable condition
    • Free from stains, marks, holes, damage, excessive wear or strong odours
    • From brands and in styles we currently accept
      Please note: Purchasing a Wardrobe Edit Bag or arranging a drop-off does not guarantee that all items submitted will be accepted or listed for sale.

    CONSIGNMENT
    The Trading Rack determines the selling price of each item based on factors including brand, condition, style, demand and current market value.

    Your commission is calculated on the GST-exclusive final sale price of each item:

    40% for items sold under $99
    50% for items sold from $100+

    Items may be discounted during their consignment period, including through promotional offers or discount codes. Your commission is calculated from the GST-exclusive final sale price after any applicable discounts.

    CONSIGNMENT PERIOD
    Items are listed for 8 weeks.

    Our standard markdown schedule is:

    25% off after 5 weeks
    50% off after 7 weeks

    Items may be discounted earlier at The Trading Rack's discretion.

    UNACCEPTED ITEMS

    If an item does not meet our acceptance criteria, we will email you a photo of the item when your bag is being processed. You can then choose whether you would like the item returned to you or donated.

    If you would like your unaccepted items returned, a return courier fee of $8.50 standard or $12.50 rural applies.

    Items must be collected or arranged for return within 2 weeks of the email being sent. Items not collected or arranged for return within this timeframe may be donated.

    UNSOLD ITEMS
    If you would like your unsold items returned, please email us at the end of your 8-week consignment period to arrange a return. A return courier fee of $8.50 standard or $12.50 rural applies.

    Returns must be arranged within 2 weeks of the consignment period ending. Items not collected or arranged for return within this timeframe may be donated.

    OUR RIGHTS
    The Trading Rack reserves the right to refuse any item that does not meet our current acceptance guidelines or that we do not believe is suitable for our collection.

    We may also choose which items are photographed, listed, promoted or featured across our website, social media, HQ and pop-up events.

    We take reasonable care when handling and storing your items. However, The Trading Rack is not responsible for loss, theft or accidental damage to items while in our possession, except where required by law.

    DESIGNER ITEMS
    Designer items require proof of authenticity or original purchase documentation.

  • WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

    It can take a few weeks for us to quality check, photograph and upload your items. Once your items are being added to your account, we’ll email you your login details. Please check your junk or spam folder if you haven’t received this email.

    Once your account is set up, you’ll be able to view your accepted items and track their sales.

    PAYOUTS

    Payouts are processed on request every Friday. When you’re ready to receive your balance, simply email or message us to request a payout, and we’ll transfer your available balance directly to your nominated bank account.

    STORE CREDIT

    You’re also welcome to use your Trading Rack balance towards purchases with us. Simply send us a screenshot of the item/s you wish to purchase, and we can arrange this for you.

  • PAYOUT BANK ACCOUNT

    Please enter the bank account number you would like your Trading Rack payouts to be paid into. If your bank account details change, please contact us to update them before requesting a payout.
