US Citizens: No visas are required for US citizens traveling for stays less than 90 days. However, US citizens visiting parts of Europe will need authorization from the European Union beginning 2021.

The EU is creating a European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS), that will require “pre-travel screening for security and migration risks of travelers benefiting from visa-free access to the Schengen area.”

The Schengen Area is a zone of 26 European countries that do not have internal borders and allow people to move between them freely, including countries such as Spain, France, Greece, Germany, Italy, and Poland.

Currently, US citizens can travel to Europe for up to 90 days without any sort of travel authorization. ETIAS will change that.

Visa-free travelers, including US citizens, will need to request ETIAS authorization before visiting the Schengen Area. They can complete an application and pay a service fee of 7 euros (about $8) online. The authorization is valid for three years.

NON-US Citizens: Please contact the Embassy for the country that issued your passport for visa and/or ETIAS requirements & assistance.

Cruise Only: Plan your departure from the US on May 11, 2021 to arrive in Vildhofen on May 12, 2021. Embarkation begins at 3:00 PM on the ship. The cruise will conclude in Budapest on May 19, 2021. All guests should disembark before 9:00 am.

Pre-Cruise Prague Tour: Plan your departure from the US on May 8, 2021 to arrive in Prague on May 9, 2021. Transfer to the ship on May 12, 2021.

Post-Cruise Budapest Tour: Depart ship on May 19, 2021. Plan your return flight to the US from Budapest on May 23, 2021.

MOBILITY CLAUSE: A reasonable degree of mobility is required. Many historic villages in Europe are located on hilltops, where it is necessary to walk up and down hilly, cobblestone streets. Passengers may be required to ascend and descend flights of 12 or more stairs to board or exit the ship.

Persons with a walking disability, an injury or who require a wheelchair/scooter or other mobility device must have another dedicated person traveling with them to assist with their needs.
