"Practice the philosophy of continuous improvement. Get a little better every single day." Unknown
I've developed the habit of reviewing how my day went in the evening when I'm ready to go to bed. I simply review my day and assess what I did well, if I hurt anyone throughout the day, and what I could possibly do better in the future. I keep it very simple and use this strategy to remain conscious of my actions and not live on autopilot like I did in my addiction. Let's try it NOW and in the future, you can use the questions below as a glue to take an inventory of your day.
Did I do my best today in all situations? If not, where can I make improvements?
Did I hurt anyone intentionally or without realizing it? If so, how can I make amends immediately?
Did I reach out to help at least one person? Who and how will I help another human being at the next opportunity?
What would you do different after reading this tip?
Do you want to be contacted regarding therapy, specifically?
Do you want to be contacted regarding any other issue? Specify below.
Today I will remember that I do not have to be perfect I just have to make progress.
