  • QUILT HANGING

AAQG will use a new hanging system for QuiltFest 2022.  Hanging sleeves may only be placed at the TOP of the quilt.  The quilt may not extend above the sleeve (except for the binding).  Please consult Quilt Show procedures page 2 for a comprehensive description of hanging requirements.  To have special requirements accomodated, the hanging coordinator (showhanging@aaqg.org) must be contacted at least ONE MONTH prior to the show date.

NOTE:  All quilts require a 4-inch hanging sleeve, except Small and Miniature categories which require a 3-inch sleeve.

  • Below please provide specifics about special hanging requirements, if any.  The hanging committee requires this in order to assure that quilts are hung in the manner intended by the quilter.  AAQG does not provide special hardware or devices required for special hanging needs.  Their provision is the responsibility of the quiltmaker.  The quiltmaker MUST contact the Hanging Coordinator at least ONE MONTH in advance of the show to arrange special hanging needs.  See Quilt Show Procedures page 2 for information that MUST be provided to the hanging committee. Limited to 30 or fewer words.

  • QUILT PHOTOGRAPH

A color photographic file MUST accompany each entry form.  Uploaded files will not be returned.  File size may not exceed 25MB.  Files in the following formats are accepted: jpg, jpeg, gif, png, bmp, pdf, heic (apple).  Make sure to keep a photo for your records and/or for insurance purposes.

The submitted photograph may be of your quilt in-progress as long as it is sufficiently complete to show major design elements. If a photo is submitted of a work-in-progress, the photo and the quilt description must provide enough information to allow the Verification committee to assign the quilt to a category.  The Floor Plan Committee uses these photos to coordinate colors and designs to achieve a pleasing arrangement of quilts.  Refer to the Photo Tips section in the Quilt Show procedures for help with taking color-accurate, in-focus photos.

If a photo upload is not possible or is unsuccessful, you may save your form without submitting using the "Save" button at the bottom of the form and request assistance by either emailing showentry@aagq.org or calling show entry coordinators for assistance.  You will receive an email link from jotform.com that will allow you to resume and complete your submission later.  Although a digital file is preferred, a color photo no smaller than 3" X 5" and no larger than 4" X 6" may be mailed to QuiltFest 2022 Entries, Austin Area Quilt Guild, PO Box 5757, Austin, TX 78763.
