MUSICAL BACKGROUND

For students interested in auditioning on harp or piano, placement is based on the needs of each ensemble and the repertoire for the season. Availability for these positions is limited. Please contact Education Manager Brian O’Donnell at brian@pasadenasymphony-pops.org for more information and to inquire about current openings.

Please select all ensembles you would be willing to join if offered a position. Your choices will directly affect whether you are placed, waitlisted, or declined.

Example: If you qualify for Symphony but only select Sinfonia, you may be declined.

While we consider your preferences, placements are based on audition results and ensemble needs. In some cases, we may still invite you to an ensemble not selected if we believe it is the best fit.

SCHEDULING YOUR AUDITION

Auditions will be held in 12 to 15 minute slots. Please check all times you are available. If you do not indicate any availability, we will schedule your audition at the time that works best with the overall schedule.

Audition Fee

A $35 audition fee is required with your application. This fee is non-refundable and helps cover administrative, facility, and faculty costs.

The fee is waived for PUSD music students. PUSD students must still complete checkout and enter a discount code, which can be obtained by contacting Alex Chu at achu@pasadenasymphony-pops.org.

Financial assistance requests for other students should also be directed to Alex Chu.
