ELIGIBILITY
- Be registered in an ACT & Southern Regions Oztag Competition.
- Attend the trial (injured players are still required to attend, even if they cannot participate physically).
- Exemptions will not be granted for reasons such as work or other sporting commitments, unless it is at a higher representative level.
- Players who were part of the squad previously must trial again for the new season.
- An approved exemption does not guarantee selection.
Individual feedback will not be provided to players who are not selected.
TRIAL PHASES
PHASE 1 – Trial Nomination & Attendance
- Players must complete the online nomination before the trial date.
- Players are required to attend the trial.
- Please arrive at least 10 minutes early before the start of each trial.
- Squad announcements will be posted on ACT Oztag social media as soon as reasonably possible after the trials.
PHASE 2 – Trial Squad Training
- Players selected in the trial squad must commit to and attend the four allocated training sessions.
- Details of trial squad training sessions will be communicated directly to players.
PHASE 3 – Reduced Squad Selection
- At the conclusion of trial squad sessions, a finalised trial squad will be announced.
- Players named in the squad are required to:
- Make full payment
- Place a uniform order by Monday, 20th July 2026
PHASE 4 – Selected Squad Training & Final Team
- Training commences for the selected squad.
- Players are required to be available for training 1–2 times per week.
- The final team of 16 players will be announced after 30th September 2026.
PLAYER REQUIREMENTS WHEN SELECTED
- Players must make themselves available for all scheduled training sessions set by the coach.
- Training is compulsory, and all players are expected to arrive at least 10 minutes before the start time.
- If injured or unwell, players are still expected to attend and observe the session. The only exception is in the case of having a contagious disease.
- Non-attendance without notifying the coach may result in loss of team position.
- Players must adhere to the ACT Oztag Players’ Code of Conduct at both local and representative levels.
