    The ASB Homecoming theme for this year will Rio. The dance will take place on Saturday, October 25, from 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. at Escondido Charter High School. 

     

    Outside Guests will need to fill out a separate form found here.

    A student’s spot at the dance is NOT RESERVED until they pick up their ticket! 

    Students can pick up their tickets during lunch by the clock tower on the following dates: October 14-17 and 21-24. 


    Please pay close attention to the dress code guidelines. A student out of dress code will not be admitted to the dance. There will be no refunds if you are not admitted.

  • Guests from outside of ECHS must purchase their tickets online and fill out separate paper permission slips. For this reason, the purchase link for outside guests is different from ECHS students. Outside guests must be high school students and at least 14 years of age. Graduated students may attend, however, they can be no older than 20 years of age in order to participate. Outside guests can find their paper permission slips here. Please print out the permission slips and sign them by hand. ECHS students should bring their outside guest’s completed permission slips when they come to pick up tickets.

  • Dress Code for Formal Occasions

  • This is a formal event and appropriate evening attire is required. All students must comply with the Dress Code for Formal Occasions as outlined below. The student and parent/guardian must sign the dress code acknowledgement form verifying that they have read the dress code. By doing so, they acknowledge that if they wear inappropriate attire, they will not be admitted and they will not receive a refund. Please also initial where indicated. 

    The ECHS Student Dress Code (as explained in the Student Handbook) is in effect except as noted:

    For young men: 

    • Suit, or dress shirt/pants and tie
    • No shorts, open shirts, t-shirts, jeans, or other casual attire
    • Formal hats are allowed (no ball caps)

    For young women: 

    • Strapless gowns are acceptable as long as the dress is snug at the top, the back does not fall below the bottom of the shoulder blades, and the front does not reveal excessive cleavage 
    • Dresses with straps or halter tops may be open on the back down to the waist (even with the navel) but no lower
    • Dresses with slits on the skirt may go no higher than knee length
    • Shorter dresses (as opposed to full-length gowns) may go no higher than knee length
    • The following will not be permitted: 
      • Bare midriffs or cut-outs/ slits on any part of the bodice (tear drop, slits, etc.)
      • Plunging necklines
      • Sheer gowns

     Inappropriate attire includes:

    Costumes, unconventional hair styles and unnaturally colored hair, body piercing (pierced lips, cheeks, noses, tongues, etc.), skirts too short, necklines too low, backs too low, see-through gowns, gowns with slits in the front or sides of the bodice, clothing that will not stay together or does not adequately cover the body, or pants or shirts that are too informal.

    Note:  There will be no refunds if you are not admitted.

    The following information is a quote from the ECHS Student Handbook, Dances and School Activities section (page 10 of the Student Handbook):  

    Dances and school activities, such as field trips, are extensions of the school day.  Student conduct at these events directly reflects on the school and the individual.  Therefore, the same expectations and rules of discipline that apply in the classroom govern student behavior at these events.  In particular, the dress code [except as noted above], restrictions on prohibited items, and rules concerning unacceptable behavior are in effect.

    1. No alcohol or tobacco is permitted at this event. No outside food or drink is allowed.
    2. No crude or sexually suggestive dancing is permitted.
    3. Students and guests must remain in compliance with the Dress Code throughout the evening.
    4. Students must stay in the venue.
    5. Once students have left the areas designated for the dance, they are not allowed to return.
    6. Dress or behavior not in keeping with the nature of the event is not acceptable.

By signing this form, I acknowledge that I have read the dress code and behavior agreement and recognize that if my son/daughter wears inappropriate attire or behaves inappropriately, he/she will not be admitted or will be asked to leave, and no refund will be given.
