Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Upsilon Omega Omega Chapter is pleased to announce the Tera Davis-Adams Memorial Scholarship Award. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® was founded on the campus of Howard University in 1908. Throughout the 118-year history, programs that address significant issues in the areas of education, health, family, the arts, technology, and economics have been at the forefront of the sorority's community service mission.
Upsilon Omega Omega Chapter was chartered May 9, 1998. An interest group of sixteen young women evolved from the inception and adorned the name, Emeralds of Excellence. The Emeralds of Excellence persevered and worked diligently in the community for months until Upsilon Omega Omega Chapter was chartered in Alpha Kappa Alpha’s South Atlantic Region.
This Scholarship was established during the commemoration of the 25th chartering anniversary of Upsilon Omega Omega Chapter to honor the memory and celebrate the remarkable contributions of beloved chapter member, Tera Davis-Adams. This scholarship aims to recognize and support exceptional students who embody the spirit of Soror Tera and demonstrate commitment and dedication to serve.
