Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Upsilon Omega Omega Chapter is pleased to announce its annual college scholarship awards. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® was founded on the campus of Howard University in 1908. Throughout our 118 year history, education and youth focused initiatives have been the forefront of the sorority's service mission.

Upsilon Omega Omega Chapter was chartered May 9, 1998. An interest group of sixteen young women evolved from the inception and adorned the name, Emeralds of Excellence. The Emeralds of Excellence persevered and worked diligently in the community for months until the reality of Upsilon Omega Omega Chapter was established.

Eligibility Requirements:

- Must be a high school senior accepted into an accredited four-year college or university in the Fall of 2026.

- Must attend a public high school in Lexington County or Lexington-Richland School District Five.

- Must have a cumulative high school grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale.

- Must submit an official high school transcript and 2 letters of recommendation.

- Submission of an essay, educational resume, and professional headshot.

Scholarship applications will be accepted from February 16, 2026 - March 27, 2026.

All applications must be postmarked by March 27, 2026.
