EDUCATION AWARDS INFORMATION
Woman's City Club of Greater Cincinnati is pleased to offer selected female graduating high school seniors $1,500 education awards. Deadline for applications is Monday, April 6 by 12:00 noon.
The Woman's City Club of Greater Cincinnati established the WCC and Marian A. Spencer Education Awards to encourage responsible civic awareness among local high school seniors who identify as female. The $1,500 eduation awards are presented directly to selected students to be used as needed to further their educational goals (college or post-secondary training).
The awards will be presented to the selected students at the Woman's City Club's Annual Agnes B. Seasongood Luncheon to be held on Saturday, May 2, from 11:30 am - 1 pm at the Kennedy Heights Arts Center Annex in Cincinnati. Award recipients will be notified approximately two weeks prior to the event.
2026 ESSAY TOPIC
With the WCC mission in mind, address your ideas about: "Growing into Citizenship: Trusting My Voice and Making it Heard."
EDUCATION AWARD REQUIREMENTS
- A full one-page (400-500 words) essay on the 2026 topic. Essays should give examples of the applicant's community involvement and demonstrate her understanding of the topic.
- The applicant's and parent/guardian contact information including the applicant's signature.
- Applicants must be a female 2026 high school graduate.
- One signed letter of recommendation from a counselor, teacher or administrator must be submitted along with contact information.
- Full application must be submitted no later than noon on Monday, April 6.
APPLICATION INFORMATION
- Applications must be submitted online.
- Applications may be started and saved, allowing the applicant to revisit and complete before submitting.
- Essays may be entered directly into the application or by uploading a separate document.
- Recommendation letters must be uploaded.
