Equitation Club Registration

AMP Stables & Boarding’s Equitation Club combines hands-on education with equestrian activities for kids ages 8-16. Participants engage in daily responsibilities such as grooming, feeding, mucking, and mounted riding lessons, all while building essential horsemanship skills.

Structured lessons explore horse behavior, tack and equipment, equine anatomy, and basic barn management. The program also includes periodic visits from guest speakers like farriers, veterinarians, and other equine professionals to enhance the learning experience.

Each week offers new lessons and activities, making it a great fit for both first-time and returning participants.

Set in a safe, supportive environment, Equitation Club helps students develop confidence, responsibility, and a meaningful understanding of horse care and handling. No prior horse experience is required, just a willingness to learn and a love for animals.

Safety Requirements:

Helmets: Approved horseback riding helmets are required for all riders. Helmets are available to borrow from AMP Stables & Boarding.

Attire: Children must wear long pants and closed-toe shoes for their safety. Please ensure that your child also brings water or another suitable drink and snacks if needed.

Adult/Guest Attire: All adults and guests must wear closed-toe shoes while on the premises.

Weather Policy:

Inclement Weather: Club activities will proceed during rain or similar conditions, but riding may be postponed if the stable grounds are deemed unsafe, such as during flooding or high winds. Decisions will be made by AMP Stables & Boarding Equitation Club Program Director and Trainer. 

Severe Weather: If severe weather is forecast, sessions will be canceled the morning of the event. Notifications will be sent via text, and canceled sessions will be rescheduled.

Cancellation & Refund Policy:

Cancellations: No refunds. Credits may be offered only for cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance, subject to availability and at the sole discretion of AMP Stables & Boarding. No credits are given for late cancellations.

Session Cancellations by AMP Stables: If AMP Stables & Boarding cancels a session, a credit toward a make-up date will be provided.

Illness: If your child is sick, please notify Erica as early as possible by text at 847-833-5976. A credit toward rescheduling may be offered, at AMP Stables & Boarding’s discretion.

No-Shows: No refunds or credits will be provided for no-shows or failure to notify in advance.

Late Pick-Up Fee:

A $25 late fee will be charged for any pickups after 12:30 PM. Late fee payment is required at the time of pickup in cash.

Payment Information

Payment may be submitted via Venmo, Zelle, Step Up For Students, cash, or check.

• Cash or check payments must be made at least one week in advance.
• Receipts are available upon request.

AMP Stables & Boarding is a Step Up for Students EMA Marketplace provider. If using Step Up funds, they must be allocated in the Step Up system prior to your child’s scheduled Equitation Club dates in order for them to attend.

Registration Policy: Registration is not finalized and space will not be guaranteed until payment is received. Spaces will only be held for 24 hours without payment.
