THE CIANBRO COMPANIES

The Cianbro Companies Scholarship Program's mission is to award financial support to students of active team members who demonstrate outstanding academic performance and leadership inside and out of the classroom who are pursuing education at a post-secondary institution.

CRITERIA

Scholarships will be determined based on the application requirements: past academic performance, work ethic, leadership, extra-curricular activities, community involvement, and the content of the essay.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT

Scholarship announcements will be made during the month of May and checks will be distributed directly to the college's financial aid office in the student's name.

1. Applicant must have a parent, or legal guardian as an active Cianbro, Starcon or A/Z Corporation team member, at the time of the award.
2. Applicant must be accepted in a post-secondary education institution.
3. Applicant must enroll full-time, with a minimum of 12 credit hours.
4. Applicant must complete the application electronically.
5. Completed applications and all required attachments must be submitted by March 19, 2021.
6. Failure to submit required criteria will automatically disqualify the applicant.

WHAT YOUR ESSAY SHOULD INCLUDE

Please type an essay, a minimum of 250 words, limited to one page, size 12 font, which best addresses the following:

• Tell us why you deserve to earn The Cianbro Companies Scholarship.
• The company values people who: exercise judgment and take action; accept accountability for their actions; learn from experience and continuously improve; and treat others with honesty, fairness, dignity, and respect.
  • Please describe your career aspirations and how you would apply one of the above values in reaching them.
  • Provide us with an example for the current school year when you have demonstrated one of the values listed above.

To be considered, the completed application and all attachments must be received by March 19, 2021.
