2026-27 Membership Application -- IMPORTANT NOTICE

Before you begin: Membership fees for the 2026–27 year are paid by credit card. If you have any questions about payment, please contact the Treasurer.

Membership and insurance coverage take effect upon reception of annual membership dues and are valid until August 31, 2027. 

FULL MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

• Be at least 18 years old
• Be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident
• Reside in the province of Quebec
• Provide proof of graduation from a recognized university or music institution
• Have a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience

First-time membership applications must be approved by the QMTA committee. Applicants will be notified of their membership status within three business days. In the event of a declined application, the full membership fee will be refunded.

Level 1. Listing

• Name only (users and prospective event competitors can identify you as a QMTA member)

Level 2. Partial Profile
Includes:

• Name and post-nominals (if desired)
• Business name, phone number, email
• Region, city, borough, postal code (where you teach)
• Website
• Related services offered (accompaniment, online lessons, examinations, events, etc.)
• Instruments and subjects taught
• Ages and levels taught
• Affiliations (RCM, Vincent-d'Indy, etc.)
• Music genres taught
• Spoken languages

Level 3. Full Profile
Includes all of the above, plus any of the following:

• Up to two pictures
• Biography

Note
The following information is never shared, unless you include it in your submitted biography:

• Full address
• Date of birth
• Gender
• Number of years of experience

Should you notice any discrepancies on your credit card statement, please do not dispute the payment. Instead, contact our treasurer at treasurer@apmqmta.org for assistance.

Note: The name on your statement may appear as "Association des professeurs de musique du Québec, inc.", "APMQ", "Quebec Music Teachers Association Inc.", or "QMTA", with or without "SQ" (Square).

Please note that official tax receipts are issued in October, February, and June.
