We have secured support from the City of Saint Paul to build our museum at Harriet Island Regional Park, on the banks of the Mississippi River.
This is the best location in the state to develop a Latino museum:
- The park is part of the historic West Side Flats neighborhood, the location where Mexican immigrants first established a Latino barrio in Minnesota over a century ago.
- The park is the only location in Minnesota's capital city that is simultaneously part of the Downtown Cultural District and part of the West Side.
- The West Side is the only Latino-focused cultural district in Minnesota.
- St Paul's Downtown Cultural District hosts many of Minnesota's most prominent state museums -- the Science Museum of Minnesota, the Minnesota Children's Museum, the Minnesota Museum of American Art, etc.
