Adrian's Place welcomes volunteers 14-23 years old to join our camp team.
Adrian’s Place is a community hub located in Santa Monica, California offering recreational, social, and academic programs for teens and transitional-aged adults tailored to meet their abilities. Through our programs, Adrian's Place helps our community build peer-to-peer bonds for those with special needs, their families, and their caregivers.
Volunteers are required to sign up for at least 2 days on any given week and a minimum of five days for the entire winter camp to create a consistency in our program. Responsibilities may include set up, preparing materials, break down, and most importantly, assisting and supporting our participants by being a Volunteer Buddy. With your help we can build an amazing and inclusive community that supports teens and young adults of all abilities.
We provide service hours, training, and information about working with the special needs population, so you feel confident and prepared. We require all volunteers to attend a training session for instruction on camp procedures and expectations. We will provide a couple of options for training and orientation. Our volunteers are an integral part of our Enrichment Program and we appreciate your time and dedication.
This is an 3-week program from December 16-January 3 (except 12/24 12/25, & 1/1). Volunteers arrive at 8:30 and support the camp until 2:00 pm.
Thank you for showing interest and we look forward to a great Winter Camp Program! If you have any questions, please contact us at 310-581-8101 or email: info@adriansplacesm.com
