Peter Braun: Honoring a Legacy of Service
For over 30 years, Peter Braun has been a dedicated leader in the Boulder community, championing mentorship, education, and philanthropy. A top financial advisor at UBS, he has built a distinguished career while also mentoring over 250 University of Colorado interns and hosting hundreds of financial literacy seminars.
Beyond his professional success, Peter has made a lasting impact through his volunteer work. A longtime supporter of the “I Have a Dream” Foundation, he has served as board chair, investment committee chair, and lead fundraiser, helping to secure millions for low-income students. His family has hosted AmeriCorps volunteers, and he has lent his voice as the Master of Ceremonies for IHAD’s annual luncheon.
Peter’s community involvement extends across many organizations. He has been a strong supporter of Scouting, chairing the Distinguished Citizen Dinner and sitting on the committee for many years, serving on the Boulder Chamber board, and was named a YWCA “Community Champion. He has also moderated sessions at the Conference on World Affairs, volunteered for the Bolder Boulder, and helped with flood relief efforts.
His commitment to service goes beyond Boulder—hiking to Mt. Everest Base Camp and Mt. Kilimanjaro for charity, teaching at Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day, and organizing tennis fundraisers.
Peter met his wife, Dr. Megan Weber, at a charity tennis event in Denver. They have a 10-year-old son, Oliver.
