Volunteer Waiver and Release of Liability

By signing below, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

✔️ Voluntary Participation: I am volunteering at the Barrie Fair 2026 of my own free will. I understand that my participation is not compensated and that I am not an employee of the fair or its organizers.

✔️ Assumption of Risk: I understand that participating as a volunteer may involve physical activity and interaction with animals, equipment, and the public, which carries certain risks, including the risk of injury. I assume all such risks, known and unknown.

✔️ Release of Liability: I hereby release and hold harmless the Barrie Fair organizers, Essa & District Agricultural Society, event staff, sponsors, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to my volunteer activities.

✔️ Medical Consent: In case of injury or emergency, I authorize event staff to seek medical assistance on my behalf and accept responsibility for any associated costs.
Conduct Agreement: I agree to follow all instructions from event coordinators and conduct myself responsibly and respectfully at all times.

✔️ Parental Consent (for volunteers under 18): If I am under the age of 18, my parent or guardian has reviewed and signed this waiver, granting permission for me to volunteer.
