2027 Great Alaskan Aviation Gathering – Artist Call
The Alaska Airmen's Association is seeking original artwork for the official poster of the upcoming Great Alaskan Aviation Gathering. This is a premier aviation event that showcases Alaska’s unique aviation heritage, aircraft, and community spirit.

Please review the following concept ideas, submission requirements, and answer the questionnaire to be considered.

Poster Concept Guidelines:
- Theme: Celebrate Alaska’s unique aviation history and lifestyle.
- Required Element: Poster must prominently feature our 2027 Raffle Cub (real or stylized). Pictures of the plane will be available soon for reference.
- Vibe: Dynamic, adventurous, bold, and family-friendly. Posters should appeal to aviation enthusiasts and the general public.

Bid Submission Deadline:
- Deadline for Submission: August 31st, 2026
- Final Selection Announcement: September 14th, 2026
Artwork Deadline:
- Bid Submission: August 31st, 2026
- Preliminary In progress report: December 1, 2026
- Final Poster Design: January 1, 2027
- Final T-shirt Version: February 1, 2027
Artwork Required:

The file format (PDF, AI, or other layered files) is to be determined by the Artist’s
preferred program but must be in industry-standard formats like high-resolution
PDFs, vector AI files, or PNG for clarity and usability.

The artwork will be delivered in the following formats and dimensions:
- 8.5"x11" vertical format (with 0.125” bleed) Original Painting
- 11"x17" vertical format (with 0.125” bleed) Original Painting
- 18"x24" vertical format (with 0.125” bleed) Original Painting
- Various vector files of elements from the painting for merchandise
- Must be original work, not AI-generated or copied
Preliminary Submission Format:
- Preliminary Sketch/Drawing of poster concept
- High-resolution digital format (JPG or PDF)
- 18" x 24" vertical format
- Must be original work, not AI-generated or copied
Artist Recognition:

Selected poster will be printed and featured throughout the event and marketing materials.

The winning artist will receive:
- $1500 Compensation
- Recognition on our website, social media & artwork
- VIP pass to the Great Alaska Aviation Gathering
- A booth at the Great Alaska Aviation Gathering
