Please join us for a very special edition of Spring Fling as we celebrate the 151st running of the Kentucky Derby! Enjoy a delicious lunch, our traditional mimosas to be enjoyed for attendees over 21, and a fun-filled afternoon. You will be delighted with the music, humor, and inspirational stories by our featured entertainer Mary Miller.
Please wear your fancy decorated Kentucky Derby hat for a chance to win a prize valued at $25. There will be many wonderful silent and live auction items, plus our Treasures 'n Trinkets tables and raffles. 100% of the net proceeds go toward needed community service projects and educational grants in Columbus and beyond. Recent service projects and grants include support for:
• Columbus Literacy Council, to develop foundational literacy skills for immigrants and refugees in Central Ohio.
• Columbus Metropolitan Library, to purchase reading incentive rewards for students participating in the Winter Reading Challenge.
• Medicine for Mali, which assists with teacher training in seventeen schools in Mali, West Africa.
• Aging Solutions, helping low-income elderly adults live independently in their homes.
• Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Ohio, for homework help, tutoring, test preparation, and summer programs.
• Easterseals of Central and Southeast Ohio, to provide educational and recreational supplies for children with an identified developmental delay or disability.
