About the Program

The Good Food Box program is a community based food distribution program designed to make good food more accessible to everyone in Timmins! Food is purchased at wholesale prices from grocers and farmers and those savings are passed on to anyone who wants to purchase a box.

Each Good Food Box contains a variety of veggies and fruits that change each month and includes a bilingual newsletter with nutritional information and recipes.

What's in it for you?

Savings: Customers save on average 20-30% from their purchases.

Variety: The variety of fruits and vegetables in the boxes changes month by month, depending on what is available from our suppliers.

Information: Each Good Food Box includes a bilingual newsletter that contains fun facts, storage and nutritional information, as well as a recipe for a featured food item.

Sustainable choices: We work with local farmers as much as possible to bring you seasonal and local foods that travel fewer food miles from field to table. When local farmers are not available, we aim to provide only Ontario products.

Purchasing decisions for the Good Food Box are made based on quality, value, variety, source proximity and season.

Deadline for Ordering

All orders must be made by the first Thursday of every month for your desired month of delivery.

Delivery Day

Good Food Boxes will be delivered on the third Thursday of every month.

Home Delivery

There is a $3.00 home delivery fee. ** Please note ** If you are not home, deliveries will be left at your door with a call / text for confirmation.

Please note that delivery will only be attempted once. Please provide an alternate delivery direction should you not be home on delivery day. Once a box is delivered, ACT is not responsible for what happens to the box afterward. If you are choosing pick-up option, please put any specific notes you have regarding pick-up; otherwise put N/A.

To pay with cash, cheque, debit, or credit, please visit the the ACT Office during our buisness hours (Mon.-Fri. 8:30am-12pm & 1pm - 4:30pm).

Payment is due the latest five days after your order is placed, or by the second Tuesday of the month (whichever comes first). If we do not receive payment by this date, your order will be canceled.
