Application Requirements and Overview
Thank you for your interest in performing with Arcadia for our inaugural festival at Carnegie Hall! Our program includes: -Rhapsody In Blue World Premiere -Beethoven Symphony No. 9 -Concerto Competition Please review the following requirements and email fennellymichael@aol.com with any questions. Application Early-Bird Deadline: April 15 Application Final Deadline: May 1 Pre-Screening Video Requirements -Please submit two separate videos as a youtube, google drive, or vimeo link. -Files should be titled as follows: First_Last_PieceName and First_Last_Beethoven Example: Jane_Smith_SomewhereOverTheRainbow Please ensure videos have no restrictions or required passwords. Please ensure "anyone with a link can view" and if using Youtube, videos are not published "private". Instrumentalists: - 1 Sonata - Excerpt from Beethoven 9. Deposit (Due May 15): $100 Festival Fee (Due June 15): $900 (Limited scholarships are available. For consideration, applications must be received by the Early-Bird deadline of April 1st and must include one letter of reference from a teacher, mentor, or professional musician.) Concerto Competition Details (Optional) Video Submission Deadline: June 1 Submissions for Concerto Competition should be emailed to fennellymichael@aol.com and include a video submission of your performance of a work published before 1920 (if unsure with your selection validity, please ask us). Selection can be one movement for instrumentalists or one aria/song for singers. Finals will take place during festival rehearsal week and winner will perform their piece accompanied by full orchestra in Carnegie Hall on June 28th. All instrumentalists and vocalists applying for the festival are encouraged to submit. Thank you for your interest and dedication.
