CAROLYN GILBERT SCHOLARSHIP FOR HIGHER EDUCATION

Awards are available for both Male and Female, in High School, University, Community College, or Trade School. $2,000 Scholarship. Emphasis on Academics. Essay required.
DON ROHMAN OUTSTANDING BOWLING SCHOLARSHIP

Award available to a Male in High School. $2,000 Scholarship. Emphasis on Bowling Ability, BUT it doesn't ignore the other categories. Essay required.
DOROTHY JOHNSON OUTSTANDING BOWLING SCHOLARSHIP

Award available to a Female in High School. $2,000 Scholarship. Emphasis on Bowling Ability, BUT it doesn't ignore the other categories. Essay required.
MARVIN TOWNSEND LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP

Award available to a Male in High School. $2,000 Scholarship. Emphasis on Leadership qualities, BUT it doesn't ignore the other categories. Essay required.
MARIE HISEL LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP

Award available to a Female in High School. $2,000 Scholarship. Emphasis on Leadership qualities, BUT it doesn't ignore the other categories. Essay required.
REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL FIVE AWARDS: Must bowl in a certified league in Missouri in either the current season or previous season. If ONLY current season, must provide a signed copy of the league sheet showing 21 games. College students applying for the Carolyn Gilbert Award must have been a consistent member of Missouri State USBC and have participated in state Youth events. Must be a member or past member in good standing of the Missouri State USBC, and not under suspension by the Missouri State High School Athletic Association. Prior recipients of an award are not eligible to win the same award again. Winners will receive a $2,000 scholarship, sent to SMART.
You will need to fill out this form in its entirety, along with supplying the following information:
- Proof of bowling league in Missouri (prior year or current season) or, if a college student living away, show history of bowling in Missouri leagues while in High School
- Scholastic Transcript
- Scholastic Accomplishments, Community Service, Extra-Curriculars
- Letters of Recommendation (coach and/or school official)
You will be evaluated on each of the scholarships for which you are eligible.
