    What to Bring

    1. Bicycle - mechanically sound and tires pumped up (please check our website for more details). 
    2. Properly fitted bike helmet. 
    3. At least two water bottles for your child.
    4. Half-Day Camp at least one nut free snack (please NO NUTS, as we are a nut-aware camp).
    5. All-Day Camp at least 2 nut free snacks plus a lunch.
    6. Rain gear (weather dependent).
    7. Spray on mosquito repellent, and/or sunscreen as appropriate (Spray sunscreen allows staff to limit physical contact).
    8. Small backpack to hold all belongings.
    9. Appropriate footwear for cycling.
    10. Comfortable clothes for a day of physical activity.

    The on-site phone will be available for calls or texts, throughout our camp season from Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm. Please call the site directly if you are going to be late for pick up, if you are having trouble finding the site or if you have questions directly relating to your child(ren)'s current camp. Please note, site phones do not have voicemail.

  • British Columbia Swim/Trail Combo Preparation (Park Royal)

    Directions and Parking

    • Located in the overhang lot near Dollarama and Winners. If no parking available, there is extra parking at the top near Best Buy with stairs to walk down.
    • Once at the intersection of Taylor Way and Marine Drive, head SOUTH on Taylor Way. Drive south down Taylor Way, through the set of lights until you reach the 4-way stop. At the 4-way stop, turn right (WEST) into the ground-level mall parkade,. Our pool is located on your immediate right-hand side as you enter the parkade.
    • Please give yourself extra time before the first lesson to locate our facility and find parking. 

    Camp Schedule and Items To Bring:

    Please arrive 10 minutes early on the first day to check in. Check in will take place in the parkade near the entrance to the pool.

    BikeAM, SwimPM

    1. Please line up to check in with our manager (in a green shirt). You will be directed on where to meet your bike instructor.
    2. Campers will be biking the paved Spirit and Capilano Pacific Trails at 9am.
    3. Please apply sunscreen prior to camp (weather dependent). There will be time for lunch, games, and activities before transitioning to swim camp. Instructors will assist campers in the change rooms prior to the swim camp, however, parents/guardians will be responsible for changing campers at pick up. Campers will be out of the water by 3:20pm.
    4. Please be prepared with your order confirmation number - this is how we will sign you out.
    5. Please collect your child and belongings from the pool deck. 

    Don't forget to bring:

    1. A bicycle and a bike helmet.
    2. Appropriate footwear and clothing for cycling.
    3. One labelled backpack for biking with a nut-free snack, lunch, water bottle and optional weather dependent items such as mosquito repellant, rain gear and/or sunscreen and a change of clothes in case of rain. 
    4. One labelled bag for swimming with a bathing suit, two towels (one to use during break), indoor pool shoes with clean soles, and optional items such as goggles and/or swim cap.

    SwimAM, BikePM

    1. Please have your child arrive in their swim gear, ready to swim.
    2. Please line up to check in with our manager (in a green shirt). Your child will then be taken indoors with their swim instructor. Bikes and bags will be securely stored indoors.
    3. Campers will start the day with swim camp at 9:00am. Instructors will assist campers in the change rooms after swim camp. There will be time for lunch, games, and activities before transitioning to the bike ride on the paved Spirit and Capilano Pacific Trails.
    4. Pick-up will be outside of the pool entrance at 3:30pm.
    5. Please be prepared with your order confirmation number - this is how we will sign you out.
    6. Collect your child and belongings and exit the camp/area as quickly a possible.

    Don't forget to bring:

    1. A bicycle and a bike helmet.
    2. Arrive at camp in your bathing suit ready to swim.
    3. One labelled bag for swimming with two towels (one to use during break), indoor pool shoes with clean soles, appropriate footwear and clothing to change into for cycling and optional items such as goggles and/or swim cap.
    4. One labelled backpack for biking with a nut-free snack, lunch, water bottle and optional weather dependent items such as mosquito repellant, rain gear, and/or sunscreen.

    Pool Rules

    • Use the washroom before entering the pool. Remind your child to take a bathroom break if required.
    • All children who are not fully potty trained must wear swim diapers.
    • Shower before entering the pool.
    • No swimmers are allowed int he pool or on the pool deck alone.
    • No food or beverages are permitted in or around the pool and deck. *Only plastic water bottles allowed.
    • Wear indoor shoes or go barefoot on the deck.
    • Photos and videos taken at the pool are not permitted to be shared on social media. Please be mindful when taking photos of your child, as other children may appear in the background. The use of cameras or phones is strictly prohibited in the changerooms.

    Facility Requirements

    The Bishop Strachan School requires the following to attend lessons at this location. You will receive a separate email with more details soon after you register.

    1. Liability Waiver: All participants must sign a liability waiver before the start of lessons. We require 1 signed waiver per participant each swim set.
    2. All visitors are required to sign in/out at the front desk each visit.
    3. Swim caps are required in the pool.
    4. All visitors are required to comply with applicable Public Health Ontario and School policies.
    5. There is no phone service or wifi in the pool area. If you need to use your phone, please do so outside as we are only permitted to be in designated areas (pool, parent viewing deck, changeroom and visitor washroom).

    Please leave non-participating siblings and other family members at home; only bring the child/children who will be participating in the Pedalheads swim lessons. Only one spectator will be permitted per participant.

    Swim Caps/Goggles

    Swim caps/goggles can be purchased by calling our Customer Care team at 1.888.886.6464. When you purchase a swim cap/goggle online or over the phone, it will be ready for pick up on-site on the day of your first lesson. Alternatively, swim caps/goggles can be purchasd at the pool but only if stock is available, therefore we recommend bringing your own or purchasing one of ours in advance.

    Changeroom Access

    Changeroom, showers, and washrooms are open for use. We encourage swimmers to use the wrap-and-go method (change in your vehicle and shower at home) if possible. The use of the change areas will be at the families discretion as our changerooms are high-contact areas.

    Please note: All families will use the Womens Changeroom for showering and changing.There will be separated and curtained areas for boys and girls to change.

    General Changeroom Information

    • Changing areas for boys and girls are located immediately to the right when you enter the changeroom.
    • Only one parent per kid is allowed in the changeroom as space is limited.
    • There are 3 individual shower stalls available.
    • 2 individual changing stalls.
    • 1 bathroom stall for participants to use. *Parents please use washrooms located near the front desk on the main floor.
    • All participants will have to shower before entering the pool. There is an automatic misting shower area located next to the pool door.

    Drop-off and Pick-up

    Please note: The pool and changeroom area are only accessible by stairs.

    • Enter through the main doors of the school off Lonsdale Rd. Once you enter the building you will need to sign in at the front desk.
    • Follow signage and direction from staff to the pool.
    • Parents/caregivers can assist kids in the changeroom to get ready, please have the swimmer go through the automatic misting showers before entering the pool.
    • Parents/Caregivers are not permitted on deck. Once your child enters the pool, please exit the changeroom where you entered and follow the hallway on the right to access separate pool entrance to viewing deck.
    • *For the first lesson, please arrive 5-10 minutes early to allow time for check in with Pedalheads staff. After that, please do not arrive more than 5 minutes before class starts as there are capacity restrictions in the pool area.

    Pick up Rules

    • At the end of the lesson, please meet your child at the viewing deck, walk through the hallway to the changing room.
    • Sign out at the front desk before exiting the building.

    • Pick up and drop off is available in the roundabout off Lonsdale Rd and street parking is free.

    • The use of photographic devices (cameras or phones) is not permitted
    • Remove your shoes in the viewing area.
