The BCCWITT Project Grant provides seed funding for Leaders in Trades program participants to organize, coordinate, and host initiatives that promote skilled trades careers to youth and equity priority people of all genders across British Columbia, and recruit them to the skilled trades.
This includes community members who are Indigenous, racialized people, 2SLGBTIAQ+, immigrants, people with disabilities, and women, and will help encourage people from these groups to pursue careers in the skilled trades sector in BC.
The BCCWITT Project Grant provides funding once per fiscal year (April 1st - March 31st) per applicant. There is a four-week turnaround period to receive these funds, and there will be no reimbursement for funds spent before the date of this application. The terms of this funding are subject to change at any time.
Who do we fund?
All applications must involve one of the skilled tradespeople within British Columbia who have participated in BCCWITT's Leaders in Trades program. If you have a project idea and would like to connect with a Leaders in Trades participant near you, please reach out to BCCWITT at info@bccwitt.ca.
If you are a tradesperson that has not attending BCCWITT's Leaders in Trades program and you are seeking funding for training, certifications, networking, and educational opportunities, please see the BCCWITT Career Advancement Bursary.
