The Robinson Milbourn Award for Umpire of the Year 2026

These awards are made in memory of Jean Robinson and Jane Milbourn, both of whom have made huge contributions to netball in general but within the BDNA in particular.

Jean was heavily involved in local netball and umpired to a very high level. Her daughter Jane was a county coach for Essex and started Robins Junior netball club. She also played for Barnhall.

Nominations are sought for your Umpire of the Year in the following categories
(please nominate in as many categories as possible):

Umpire of the Year – Into Officiating level

Umpire of the Year – C Award level

Umpire of the Year – B Award & above level

Your nominated umpires must have been officiating in the Basildon & District Netball (BDNA) League in the Winter League 2025-26 and/or Summer League 2026.

Nominations must be received by Friday 31st July 2026. All nominations received by this date will then be reviewed by the BDNA Committee and the winners will be presented with their award at our presentation evening on Friday 4th September 2026.

PLEASE NOTE: ONE NOMINATION PER AWARD PER TEAM (your team can vote in each of the three categories). You must have been entered as a team in the Winter League 2025-26 and/or Summer League 2026. Please confer as a team and submit your team's nominations through a nominated representative.

We also welcome nominations from other umpires who officiate in the BDNA League.
