  • The Koats for Kids program provides winter coats and other seasonal items to children and youth in need.

    This registration is intended only for children and youth (ages 0 to 18) who are part of your immediate family or for whom you are the parent or legal guardian.

    Please complete one registration per household and include only the children and youth living in your household or under your legal care. Do not register children from extended family members, friends, neighbours, or other households. Each household must complete its own registration form.

    If you are completing this registration on behalf of a family as a representative of a school, agency, community organization, healthcare provider, or other referral partner, please use the family's information and ensure the family receives all appointment details and program instructions.

    Participation in the Koats for Kids program does not guarantee the availability of specific items, sizes, colours, or quantities. All winter wear is distributed based on available inventory.

  • Are any of the children or youth included in this registration members of or active participants in BGC London (Boys & Girls Club of London)? You do not need to be a member or active participant to receive support through the Koats for Kids program.*

    Please note that while we will make every effort to provide the requested size, specific sizes cannot be guaranteed and are subject to availability.

  • Appointment Selection and Distribution Information

  • Please select one appointment time only for either Saturday, November 7 or Saturday, November 14, not both.

    The November 7 distribution day will offer the full available inventory of winter coats and accessories. The November 14 distribution day will offer only the remaining inventory available after November 7. As a result, coat sizes, styles, colours, and quantities may be limited. Winter wear availability cannot be guaranteed on either distribution date.

    If no appointment times are available, please refer to the Drop-In Information section below for details on attending without an appointment.

    Families may attend either by appointment or as a drop-in on one distribution date only. Families are eligible to receive winter wear through the Koats for Kids program once per season and may attend on either November 7 or November 14, but not both.

    If you miss your scheduled appointment, you are still welcome to attend during operating hours; however, availability of winter wear, including specific sizes, cannot be guaranteed. Depending on attendance and wait times, staff may ask you to return at a later time that day to help ensure a safe and positive experience for all families.

    The November 7 distribution day will end at 3:00 p.m. The November 14 distribution day will end at 3:00 p.m. or when all remaining winter wear has been distributed, whichever occurs first. Last entry on both distribution days is 2:00 p.m.

    Families may attend as a drop-in between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. (last entry at 2:00 p.m.) on either November 7 or November 14, but not both.

    No registration is required for drop-in attendance. Please note that winter coat availability cannot be guaranteed and is subject to remaining inventory at the time of your arrival.

  • Identification Requirements

  • Families attending Koats for Kids must provide proof of identity and proof of address for the parent, guardian, or caregiver attending the appointment.

    Identification for children and youth may also be requested.

    Acceptable documents include government-issued identification, health cards, birth certificates, report cards, school identification, and other official documents showing the individual's name and, where applicable, current address.

    Failure to provide appropriate identification may delay or impact your ability to receive assistance through the program.

    Your identification will be reviewed for verification purposes but will not be copied or retained by BGC London. To promote fairness and help ensure that as many families as possible can benefit from available winter wear programs, participant names may be shared with other organizations providing winter coat assistance in the community.

    If I receive winter clothing assistance from another organization before my appointment, I will notify BGC London so my appointment can be cancelled and offered to another family.

    If I am unable to attend my appointment, I will notify BGC London as soon as possible so another family may benefit from the available winter wear.
