    Speaker Agreement, Acknowledgements and Affirmation
  • The School Nutrition Association of Wisconsin (SNA-WI) is holding their annual conference on June 24-27 at the La Crosse Center in La Crosse, WI. SNA-WI's conference will be in-person experience aided by Whova, a conference app.

    All breakout presentations should plan for 50 minutes of content and 10 minutes of Q&A for 60 minutes total.

    All tours should plan for 2-3 hours of content plus travel time. Transportation to/from the location will need to be provided by the tour host (not SNA-WI). A box lunch can be provided by SNA-WI to attendees. Tours would ONLY happen on Thursday, June 27. 

    Specific learning objectives, how will the content impact each audience type are requested along with how the presentation aligns with the conference theme of "Revive & Thrive."

    It is highly encouraged to present in-person to allow for more attendee participation. Virtual presenters can be included.

  • CONFERENCE EXPERIENCE

  • Session materials will be posted to the conference app for attendees to retrieve. Handouts should to be limited to 10 pages. PowerPoint presentation slides will be pre-loaded to the laptop in your presentation room.

  • CONFERENCE APP

    This event uses a conference app that gives attendees the opportunity to connect with speakers in a variety of ways. To build speaker profiles on the app, selected presenter(s) agree to submit additional information including presenter bio and headshot/photo as instructed by SNA-WI staff and conference planning committee.

  • TRAVEL EXPENSES / HONORARIUM

    Not applicable. The presenter(s) forego an honorarium and agree to provide their presentation to SNA-WI for gratis. Presenters staying just for their session will not be asked to register to attend the conference, however, please note registration fees support conference operations and overall SNA-WI activities.

    COMMERCIAL SUPPORT STANDARDS

    The Commercial Support Standards require that your presentation be free of commercial bias and that any information regarding commercial products/services be based on scientific methods generally accepted by the school nutrition community. When discussing options, it is our preference that you use only generic names. If it is necessary to use a trade name, then those of several companies must be used.

    Further, should your presentation include discussion of any unlabeled/ investigational use of a commercial product, you are required to disclose this to the participants.

    SPEAKER RELEASE 

    Speaker agrees that SNA-WI and its agents and licensees may:

    • Use, for advertising, the speaker’s name, photo (if applicable), presentation title, presentation description, and/or biographical data in connection with speaker's presentation;
    • Include speaker's presentation in conference material distribution to all participants; however, speaker reserves the right to withhold handouts which speaker does not want distributed and/or for which speaker does not have copyright ownership;
    • Distribute copies of handouts, in pdf format, to participants of the Conference.
  • Submission of this form to the SNA-WI office indicates understanding and acceptance of these terms for participating in the SNA-WI Conference.
