• Rebel Run A Mile Challenge 2026

    Cork Sports Partnership, in collaboration with Athletics Ireland, Boston Scientific and MTU Cork, are delighted to launch the 2026 Rebel Run a Mile Challenge.

    The Rebel Run A Mile challenge encourages disability service clients to engage in a six-week walk-to-jog programme with the aim of participating in a final celebratory mile event on the track in MTU Cork.

    This year will see the challenge commence on the week of May 4th and will finish with our celebratory event days in MTU Arena on June 18th and 19th.  

    Participants registered to take part in the Rebel Run a Mile Challenge will receive:

    • A training booklet to guide their weekly walks/jogs.  
    • Race T-shirt
    • A medal for completion of the programme.
    • Entry to the MTU event

    The closing date for registration is Wednesday, April 15th. 

    Please note: Our celebratory event days will take place on Thursday June 18th and Friday June 19th in MTU, we will notify your group of your allocated date via email in advance.

    We will endeavour to provide participants with their chosen size t-shirt. However, if not possible, we will provide the next best available size.

Photos and video footage obtained will be used to promote the Rebel Run A Mile Programme on the Cork Sports Partnership and collaborative partner websites, social media channels and publications. If your service consents, but some clients do not wish to be photographed please inform us when you enter the event.*
