What is the Deadline for the Yizkor Book? The deadline to submit your Yizkor Book Listing form is SEPTEMBER 9, 2019.
What is the Yizkor Book? As we prepare for the year 5780, we remember our loved ones who have been called to their eternal rest. One way we can do this is by inscribing them in our Yizkor Book. Beth Shalom has a long tradition of honoring the memories of our dear loved one in our Yizkor Book.
When do we use the Yizkor Book? Yom Kippur, and subsequently, at each of the remaining three Yizkor services throughout the year, Shemini Atzeret, Pesach and Shavuot.
Can we keep the Yizkor Book after services? This Year, you will be able to take home the Yizkor book after any of our services.
Is this a taxable donation? Yes, this is a taxable donation to Beth Shalom. Kaddish, Yizkor and Yahrzeit sanctify the memories of our departed loved ones; these same memories are energized by our acts of tzedakah. Your generous contribution enables the success of religious, educational, cultural and social programs of Beth Shalom.
