    Principal's Opportunity Scholarship Application Form

  • The Principal’s Opportunity Scholarship provides an opportunity for students to access a TAS education where financial circumstances may otherwise be a barrier.

    Eligibility: Applicants must be in Year 5-10 at the time of application. Applicants must not be currently enrolled at Trinity Anglican School.

    Scholarships are awarded at the discretion of Trinity Anglican School and may be held for the duration of a student’s schooling at TAS, subject to ongoing eligibility and periodic review.

  • What you need to know before you start

    1. The recipient of a Trinity Anglican School Principal’s Opportunity Scholarship will be an external student entering the Secondary School who, financially, would not otherwise be able to attend Trinity Anglican School.

      The applicant must have demonstrated excellent aptitude and attitude towards their studies, consistently achieving high results. This student will have also displayed a conscientious commitment to their school community, with a high level of involvement in school life. This student will not be a current student at Trinity Anglican School and will agree to continue to work to the best of their ability and be a fine citizen of our community.

    2. The applicant student is required to submit an introductory letter in their own handwriting, stating why they would like to attend Trinity Anglican School, and why they make a worthy candidate for a Principal's Opportunity Scholarship (approximately 300 words).

    3. Ensure that recent NAPLAN results, school reports, award certificates, and reference letters are provided.

    4. After you have completed this form, we will review your application, and if eligible, you may be invited to an interview with the principal.

    5. All questions must be answered. Use the word “Nil” if appropriate. Estimates can only be given if, after reasonable enquiry, you are unable to give an accurate answer. Any estimates should have the letter “E” inserted before the amount shown.

    6. Reviews are carried out at least annually and require the completion of this document to update your circumstances.

    7. These scholarships are awarded at the discretion of the Principal and are based on academic performance, means testing, and an interview.

    8. Principal’s Opportunity Scholarship applications are partly assessed on financial need; failure to disclose financial details in full or falsifying them in any way, will render this application invalid.
