    2023 Annual ICMA Conference: Cal-ICMA Scholarship Application

  • The Cal-ICMA Scholarship & Events Committee is offering three complimentary conference registration scholarships to attend the 2023 ICMA Annual Conference.

    The
    2023 ICMA Annual Conference will be held at the Austin Convention Center in Austin/Travis County, Texas from September 30 - October 4, 2023. ICMA will bring local government professionals together for unparalleled leadership and professional development, networking, and best-in-class programming you won’t want to miss!

     

    Cal-ICMA Scholarships will be awarded as follows:

     

    One full scholarship awarded to top applicant:
    - Conference registration + $1,500 travel stipend

    Two partial scholarships awarded to two runners-up:
    - Conference registration + $750 travel stipend

     

    The travel stipend award will be provided on a reimbursable basis upon submittal of receipts for actual expenses paid. Receipts must be submitted to Cal-ICMA to receive reimbursement. For more information about the 2023 ICMA Annual Conference, please click here.

  • Selected winners will be required to:

    • Commit to attend a majority of the 2023 ICMA Annual Conference in Austin/Travis County, Texas

    • Provide a letter of verification from a direct report/supervisor of your attendance (In the event that you're unable to attend, please notify the Cal-ICMA Scholarship Committee at least 2 weeks prior to) 

    • Post 2-3 social media posts during the event about their experience and tag/mention Cal-ICMA in their posts (@Cal_ICMA on LinkedIn / @Cal_ICMA on Twitter)

    • Author a brief blog post for the Cal-ICMA Newsletter regarding their experience at the Annual Conference

    • Participate on the Cal-ICMA Scholarship Committee to help pick the next scholarship winners
