Brief explanation of each committees listed below:

Testing Development Committee: Core group focused on development of CASLI exams and reviewing exams as final product. Provides insights/suggestions for improvement. Expects 2 - 3 years commitment. Click here for Scope of Work for Testing Development Committee.  

Scoring Committee: short term commitment. SMEs (Subject Matters Experts) to review CASLI exams to determine appropriate cut score/criteria. This is a short term commitment of approximately 3 months to 6 months depending on progress.

Working Committee: short term commitment as needed to support CASLI with different projects/tasks as they arise.  

For those who are interested in becoming raters, please refer to Rater Application page for more details.  Applications for raters are being accepted on rolling basis.

You can submit your statement of interest in either English text or in ASL through a URL link.  

Your statement of interest should include the following:
- the reasons you are interested in partaking these committee(s)
- what is your relevant experience, and
- what are your vision and goals for these committee(s)?

Also, if you are interested in more than one committee(s), indicate your order of preference.

Following are the steps you need to take to submit your information via YouTube. Once uploaded, enter here the secure link to your video. By following the instructions below, your video will NOT be viewable by the public. ONLY people who have the secure link can view your video. After signing up/logging into your YouTube account: Click the "Upload" button at the top of the screen. Select the video you want to upload. Create a title for your video, and add your full name and what you are applying for in the "Description" field. Choose "Unlisted" from the "Privacy Settings" dropdown menu. Disregard all of the other fields and checkboxes. Copy/paste the video link above.

I understand and agree that, if during my time of service a new conflict of interest or an appearance of conflict should arise, I must notify CASLI in writing to testing@casli.org within 30 days of such occurrence. Even if you are uncertain, please proceed in contacting CASLI.  I understand that an actual or apparent conflict of interest may disqualify me from volunteer service or continued volunteer service with CASLI.

CONFIDENTIALITY, OWNERSHIP, AND NON-DISCLOSURE

If selected for a committee under CASLI, I acknowledge that in connection with my service as a volunteer with the Center for Assessment of Sign Language Interpretation (CASLI) on the national, regional, state, and/or local level, I will have access to and may become aware of confidential information, including, without limitation, information regarding procedures, methods, and data used by CASLI.

I further acknowledge that any information that is shared with me or accessed by me during my service with CASLI that is identified as “confidential” or that has not been made publicly available by CASLI or RID is deemed to be of a confidential nature and is owned as a proprietary right by CASLI.

I agree that I will not allow any third party to have access to any materials containing such confidential information provided to me by or on behalf of CASLI; that, upon CASLI’s request or upon the completion of my volunteer service with CASLI, I will delete, destroy, or return to CASLI any such materials in my possession; and that I will not reproduce any such materials by any means, including memorization or recall.

I further agree that I will not use such confidential information for any purpose other than the scope of work assigned to me as a CASLI volunteer and will not disclose it to any third party during my service with CASLI or subsequent thereto, unless otherwise authorized by CASLI in writing.

I acknowledge that CASLI may pursue legal action for any violation of this Agreement or other improper use of such confidential information by me or by others through me, and that CASLI, in connection with such action, may use this Agreement, and may seek all available remedies, including without limitation, injunctive relief, damages, and attorney’s fees and costs.

With my signature below, this acknowlege that all information I have provided on this form for submission is true.  I also have read, understand and agree to policy related to confidentiality, ownership, non-disclosure, and reporting of potential conflict of interest should they arise in the future.
