  • For the 2025-2026 school year, we are seeking new members for the student recruitment team. The new ambassadors will begin in the fall semester.

  • Ambassador Responsibilities

    • Create awareness of agricultural sciences and natural resources programs/careers to prospective students.
    • Recruit for the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (CASNR) through campus visits and outreach activities.
    • Positively promote CASNR and UNL.
       

    Qualifications

    • Have a sophomore or above standing as of January 1, 2025.
    • Be enrolled in CASNR as a full-time student for the 2025-2026 academic year.
    • Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
    • Available to work eight hours per week.
    • Participate in a training program.
    • Attend a half hour weekly meeting.
    • Be willing to travel and participate in occasional evening and/or weekend activities.
    • Have good knowledge of the academic and extra-curricular offerings of the College and UNL.
    • Demonstrate leadership, writing, and speaking skills.
       

    Application Procedure

    • Applications and references must be turned in by 11:59pm on March 25, 2025.
    • Applicants will be notified by April 5th, 2025 if they have been selected for an interview.
    • Interviews will be held the week of April 14th, 2025 (after 3pm).
    • New student ambassadors will be notified by April 18th, 2025.
       

    Benefits

    • Paid at an hourly rate of $12.00 per hour
    • Participate as a member of the CASNR Dean’s Office team
    • Student ambassadors will be provided with:
      • Name tag
      • CASNR apparel

Your references will automatically receive emails with the necessary materials when you submit your application.

  • By submitting this application, I hereby authorize the Dean’s Office of the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources to verify my GPA, credit hours enrolled, and at least sophomore status. The selection criterion for CASNR ambassadors states that a student must have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA to be eligible to serve as an ambassador.
